Abstract Expression

Vivid phoenix tails give a feeling of baroque movements. Actually, there built a simple mechanism to swing the tails; the top of the tails set with colorful precious stones of Demantoids and fancy sapphires are just adding delights. 

A turning wheel motif attached under the tails, symbolizes the Sun ☀️, as in Chinese legend story, the Phoenix flying towards the Sun, a spirit of seeking excellency, glory, and daring to be burned 🔥 in order to be reborn!

Partial inspiration is also from "The Greeting to the Sun God"  an ancient poetry verse from Qu Yuan, who is regarded as the first poet in China during the Warring States Period.
